This is Fort Greene Park.

Located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn on hill in overlooking Wallabout Bay is Fort Greene Park. Named after Revolutionary War General Nathaniel Greene. The park quietly blends into the neighborhood that over the years has become one of  New York City's most gentrified areas. Offering peace to the old and enjoyment to the young,  Fort Greene Park has evolved throughout New York City's history. The park is also the site of a Revolutionary War Fort Putnam, which was constructed at the summit of the park.  The park features the Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument which was erected in 1908 as a memorial to the men and boys who were imprisoned under horrific conditions during The Revolutionary War.

Fort Greene Park is not just a history lesson for Brooklyn, save that for the school across the street. The park offers its visitors some really great things. The activities range from The Fort Greene Park tree trail which is a self guided walking tour of the woods in Fort Greene Park.  Its also offers jogging, tennis, and basketball courts to the stay in shape individual. And every Saturday from 8am to 5pm there is a farmers market for all you food lovers.

So whether the weather is good or bad make your way to Ft. Greene Park on Dekalb Ave. and South Portland Ave
