Winter in New York City. I captured this photo on the way to work . The early morning snow would later turn to rain. But there is something about snow in New York City that brings a sense of calm. The streets are usually quiet and you can truly hear yourself. I find it amazing how beautiful the snowfall is in its infant stages, when the accumulation is still in progress. Once it stops growing, it all falls apart. It turns to slush and gets grey. I guess there are some similarities to life.
